How To Pop a Cactus Pita?
Preparation:
If your cactus pita is frozen, we recommend defrosting it at room temperature. This ensures even warming and the best texture.
However, if you’re in a hurry, you can pop the pita directly from frozen.
Heating:
Preheat a pan on medium-high heat.
Once the pan is hot, place the pita in the pan.
Popping:
The cactus pita will start popping in about 20 to 30 seconds. You'll notice it puffing up and becoming light and airy.
Enjoy:
Once the pita has popped, remove it from the pan and enjoy it warm. It's perfect for dipping, stuffing, or eating on its own.
As we use nothing artificial, we recommend keeping your Cactus Pitas frozen or refrigerated.
We are happy to use freshly squeezed lime juice to control acidity and any bacteria, therefore, our Prickly Cactus Pitas only last two weeks in the refrigerator. We ship our Prickly Cactus Pitas frozeen.
To enjoy them, bring the desired amount out of the freezer and let them defrost at room temperature for about half an hour. When they are defrosted they will be ready to be heated and eaten.
